Macao Polytechnic University research team wins ICME Grand Challenge 2024

The research team from Macao Polytechnic University (MPU) achieved remarkable success in the 2024 ICME Ground Challenge! They secured first place in Track 5 (Video Guidance) and Track 6 (Animal Behavior Recognition), demonstrating their outstanding capabilities in multimodal video reasoning and analysis

In the competition, the MPU team successfully had two papers accepted: 'Enhancing Video Guidance through Dual-Channel Modality Fusion on the Animal Kingdom Dataset' and 'Multimodal Behavior Recognition Network with Interconnected Architecture.' The success of these two papers was made possible by the joint guidance of Lecturer Yue Sun and Associate Professor Tao Tan from the Faculty of Applied Sciences, along with the hard work and teamwork of graduate students Chengpeng Xiong and Nuoer Long.

This achievement not only affirms the MPU team but also highlights Macao Polytechnic University's outstanding capability in nurturing technological talent.
